India, Oct. 5 -- The Odisha Government has fixed a maximum election expenditure of Rs 5,000 for each candidate contesting college and university elections. The rules were issued on Monday.

Candidates will have to maintain an account of their election expenses and submit it to the concerned college or university authorities within two weeks of the declaration of the results.

Expenditure Details On HIMS Portal After receiving the expenditure accounts, the college will publish the details on the HIMS Portal within two days.

Candidates will have to stay within the prescribed Rs 5,000 spending limit. If a candidate exceeds the limit, the election may be cancelled.
