Bhubaneswar, April 16 -- The statewide door-to-door digital census has commenced in Odisha from Thursday, marking a major administrative exercise aimed at collecting comprehensive demographic data. The initiative will continue until May 15, with authorities deploying a large workforce to ensure smooth and accurate data collection across regions.
More than 90,000 officials have been assigned to carry out the enumeration process, going door to door to gather information. To oversee the operation, 15,140 supervisors have been appointed. Primary school teachers are functioning as census officials, while high school teachers have been designated as supervisors.
