Bhubaneswar, May 30 -- Delay in the disbursement of social security pensions has triggered widespread resentment among beneficiaries across several districts of Odisha, with elderly persons, widows and persons with disabilities alleging that they have not received their monthly assistance for months.

In Boudh district, beneficiaries have claimed that pension payments have been pending for the last three months. Despite repeatedly approaching local authorities and administrative officials, many beneficiaries alleged that the issue remains unresolved.
