Bhubaneswar, March 21 -- Police have uncovered a smuggling operation involving country liquor being transported in cold drink bottles from Udala bus stand on Friday night. A minor has been apprehended in connection with the case, while two other accused managed to flee from the spot.

A total of 34 bottles were seized during the operation. The consignment was reportedly being transported to Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar. The action was taken following a tip-off about illegal liquor movement.

According to police, the smugglers were filling country liquor into cold drink bottles to avoid suspicion. The bottles were then packed into bags for transportation.
