Bhubaneswar, March 27 -- A road infrastructure project worth around Rs 160 crore is set to be taken up in Odisha's Sundargarh district, aimed at improving connectivity and addressing traffic congestion in a key industrial and mining belt.

The project involves the construction of a six-lane carriageway along with service roads on the Duduka-Gopalpur-Toparia stretch, covering the section between km 4/700 and km 11/500. It will be implemented under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model, under which design, procurement, and execution responsibilities rest with the contractor.

The project is scheduled for completion within 18 months from the date of commencement.
