Bhubaneswar, May 29 -- The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process for correction and updating of electoral rolls in Odisha will begin from Saturday, Chief Electoral Officer R.S. Gopalan informed today.

As part of the drive, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit households across the state to verify and update voter details. People will be able to make corrections in their voter identity cards through BLOs during the door-to-door verification process.

The CEO said non-Indian citizens are being directly removed from the voter list during the verification exercise. A total of 45,255 Booth Level Officers have been deployed for the large-scale revision drive across the state.
