India, Aug. 3 -- An accused individual escaped from custody at the Mahila Police Station in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night before being produced before a court. Police personnel had previously apprehended the suspect from Bhadrak following a formal complaint filed by a woman.

The accused has been identified as Rudra Prasad Sutar. Officials brought him to the police station last Thursday. He reportedly escaped through a bathroom door around midnight yesterday.

A special police team has been formed to track down the suspect. Officials conducted raids at various locations to trace his whereabouts, but the accused remained untraced two days after the escape, at the time of reporting.
