Bhubaneswar, May 20 -- In response to the ongoing heatwave and soaring temperatures across Bhadrak district, the District Collector on Wednesday ordered the closure of all Anganwadi centres from tomorrow until May 31.

The move aims to ensure the safety and health of preschool children who are particularly vulnerable to extreme weather conditions. Authorities have emphasised that this temporary closure is a precautionary measure, reflecting the administration's commitment to child welfare during severe heat.
