Bhubaneswar, June 8 -- After years of uncertainty and separation from her family, Hasta Mahanand, a woman from Titlagarh, Odisha, finally returned to India from the United Arab Emirates and reunited with her three daughters.

Her return was made possible through the efforts of the Indian Consulate in Dubai, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and support from the Indian Community Welfare Fund.

Hasta went to the UAE in 2019 in search of work. She later visited India in 2022 and returned back. However, after that, her family gradually lost contact with her.

As months turned into years without any information about her whereabouts, her family grew increasingly worried and eventually approached the Odisha High Court seeking help.
