Series of thefts in Puri, gold ornaments and cash worth lakhs stolen
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- A series of thefts was reported from Alipingala village under Denua Gram Panchayat in Nimapara police station limits of Odisha's Puri district late Friday night, with burglars allegedly making away with gold and silver ornaments and cash from three separate houses.
According to reports, the miscreants targeted the houses while the family members were asleep. In the house of Ramachandra Mishra, the thieves reportedly locked the sleeping family members from outside before breaking open the locks of three rooms, including the puja room.
