Bhubaneswar, March 17 -- A 35-year-old man claiming to be a godman was detained on Sunday after he allegedly attacked a beggar with a knife inside a passenger train at Cuttack railway station.

The accused, identified as Ramesh Pashwan, is a native of West Bengal and is reportedly residing near Biraja Temple.

According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), the victim, a 60-year-old man named Manoj, suffered injuries to his abdomen and is currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital. His condition is said to be stable.
