Sea threats to Odisha: Multi-agency strategy to strengthen coastal security
Bhubaneswar, June 5 -- With Odisha poised to play a larger role in India's blue economy and maritime development initiatives, the state police have intensified efforts to strengthen coastal security through enhanced surveillance and inter-agency coordination.
Speaking at a national seminar on coastal security in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, Director General of Police (DGP) Y.B. Khurania said authorities are identifying vulnerable stretches along Odisha's 575-km coastline in collaboration with intelligence agencies. A comprehensive security framework is also being developed to address emerging threats from the sea.
