Bhubaneswar, Aug. 7 -- A 13-year-old Class 8 student died suddenly after collapsing on the premises of a government school in Odisha's Dhenkanal district on Wednesday afternoon, police said on Thursday. The deceased, Mangaraj Sathua Mohapatra of Ward No. 12 under Bhuban NAC, was a student of Government Boys High School, Bhuban.

According to police, the incident took place around 2 pm after the boy consumed his midday meal. Mangaraj drank water and was walking towards the wash area when he suddenly collapsed.

School authorities immediately rushed him to the BhubanCommunity Health Centre (CHC), where doctors declared him dead.
