Bhubaneswar, Oct. 3 -- Nearly 48 hours after the death of a mental health patient at SCB Medical College in Cuttack, the police are yet to take action against anyone in connection with the incident. The deceased has been identified as Srikant Das.

The deceased's family has lodged a murder complaint at Mangalabag police station, following which police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

The family has demanded justice, raising questions over the delay in taking action against those allegedly involved in the incident.

According to the family, CCTV footage from the ward appears to show Srikant Das being assaulted. The footage has since been seized by police and is being examined as part of the investigation.
