Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- A large number of Kanwariyas thronged the famous Shiva shrine of Baba Dhabaleswar in Athagarh in Odisha's Cuttack on the third Monday of the holy month of Sawan.

Baba Dhabaleswar has been adorned in the Badasinghar Besha. The temple authorities completed the morning rituals after opening the sanctum at 2 am. It was followed by a ceremonial bath with 108 pitchers of fragrant water and Mangala Alati.

Extensive security arrangements were put in place at the shrine in view of the large gathering. Adequate police force has been deployed at the temple. Barricades have also been installed to ensure devotees can have darshan peacefully and in an orderly manner.
