Bhubaneswar, April 7 -- A water crisis was reported in Odisha's Sambalpur city, with residents of LIC Colony facing severe inconvenience due to a disruption in the piped water supply for nearly a week. 

The situation led to growing concern among locals as daily life continued to be affected.

In response, the administration started supplying water through tankers. However, residents said the supply is insufficient to meet daily requirements. Large crowds were seen gathering around tankers, with people waiting to collect water for household use.

Residents were seen storing water in buckets, utensils, and other available containers, but claimed that the collected quantity does not last through the day.
