Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- The Sambalpur Municipal Corporation on Saturday took strict action against a mall owner for allegedly allowing garbage to remain dumped outside the establishment in the busy Golbazar market area.

According to reports, garbage was reportedly lying outside the mall for a long time despite repeated warnings to remove it. The accumulated waste created inconvenience in the area as it caused a foul smell and also blocked a nearby drain.

Following the continued accumulation of waste, the Municipal Corporation's enforcement team reached the spot on Saturday. The team used a bulldozer to clear the garbage and later dumped the waste in front of the mall.
