India, Sept. 18 -- An encroachment eviction drive has begun in Sambalpur city on Friday morning, with the Enforcement Department of the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation starting the operation from Golbazar Square.

As part of the drive, shops that have occupied portions of the road are being removed. Footpath shops and roadside establishments operating on the road are also being cleared by the enforcement team.

Footpath Encroachments Cleared The drive is focused on removing encroachments from public road areas. The enforcement team has been taking action against shops and vendors found occupying the road space and footpaths.
