Salary delay sparks protest at Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre in Cuttack, patients suffer
Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- Hundreds of attendants and housekeeping staff of the Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre in Cuttack on Tuesday launched a cease-work agitation demanding payment of pending salaries.
More than 400 attendants and housekeeping workers staged a protest in front of the hospital, disrupting routine services. The agitating staff alleged that they have not received their salaries for the last one-and-a-half months, leading to severe financial distress.
