Bhubaneswar, June 25 -- Public darshan at PuriSrimandir will be temporarily suspended for five hours on Thursday afternoon for the sacred annual wedding rituals of Rukmini Harana Ekadashi.

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has made elaborate arrangements for the ceremonial marriage of Lord Madanmohan, the Chalanti Pratima of Lord Jagannath, with Goddess Rukmini.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the wedding rituals, the temple administration has announced that general entry and darshan of the deities will remain closed from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

The restriction is essential to allow the sevayats to conduct the secretive and time-bound traditional procedures of the divine marriage inside the inner sanctum.
