Bhubaneswar, April 4 -- Rs 40 lakh cash was seized from Kesinga Railway Station in Odisha's Kalahandi district on Friday. The seizure raised questions regarding the source of the money and the purpose for which it was being transported.

The cash was recovered from a youth identified as Prabhat Samuel, who was intercepted based on prior information received by the Titlagarh Railway Police and the Railway Protection Force (RPF). He was found carrying the amount in a bag while travelling from Kesinga to Raipur.

According to officials, the interception followed intelligence inputs from sources, prompting authorities to verify the movement of cash.
