Bhubaneswar, Aug. 27 -- Suspended Odisha BJP leader Prakash Paswan, who was wanted in connection with the seizure of firearms from the Rourkela Circuit House, was arrested from Samastipur in Bihar on Wednesday.

Paswan was missing since August 14 after being named as an accused in the case. Raghunathpali police had earlier issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against him.

The Rourkela police team is expected to reach Bihar by 9 am on Thursday. There are also plans afoot to bring him to Odisha by this evening, as per sources.

Paswan had earlier approached the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail to avoid arrest.
