Bhubaneswar, April 19 -- After days of concern near Sikharchandi, in the outskirts of the capital city, two tuskers that had strayed into the Patharagadia area have been safely driven back to the Bharatpur forest, bringing much-needed relief to local residents in Bhubaneswar.
According to officials, the elephants moved back into the forest early Sunday morning, around 4 am after breaking a portion of the boundary wall of the Patharagadia cremation ground. The animals had been camping near human habitation, prompting close monitoring by authorities due to the potential risk posed to nearby residential areas.
