Bhubaneswar, July 6 -- Relentless rainfall has thrown normal life out of gear in Odisha's Subarnapur district, with several parts of Sonepur town witnessing severe waterlogging. Low-lying localities have been inundated after continuous downpours, while floodwater has entered several houses, leaving residents grappling with difficult conditions.

One of the worst-affected stretches is the main road connecting Ambedkar Chowk and Block Chowk through Gokhneswar Pada, where nearly four feet of water has accumulated and continues to flow over the road. The flooding has made commuting extremely difficult, with both pedestrians and motorists facing serious hardships.
