Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- The Mancheswar Police on Monday issued a notice to a youth for allegedly refusing to marry a woman after entering into a relationship with her on the promise of marriage. The accused has been identified as Abinash Mahapatra of Rasulgarh area of Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Police affixed a notice at his house on Monday after failing to get a response from him and his family despite repeated visits in connection with the case.

According to the woman's complaint lodged at Mancheswar police station in February, she met Abinash while staying in a hostel. The two subsequently entered into a relationship, following which Abinash allegedly promised to marry her.
