Bhubaneswar, Sept. 5 -- The Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar is set to add new species to its collection. Two female red kangaroos from the Czech Republic and two pairs of zebras expected to arrive soon. The Odisha-based zoo currently has neither red kangaroos nor zebras.

As reported by The Times of India, the red kangaroos will be donated by Zajezd Zoo in the Czech Republic, which formally conveyed its consent in writing. Following the approval, Nandankanan authorities approached the Central Zoo Authority (CZA) for permission to bring the animals to Odisha.
