Bhubaneswar, March 30 -- The fourth consignment of chariot wood for Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra reached Puri on Sunday night, marking steady progress in preparations for the annual festival.
The latest batch of wood was transported from the Madhopur range under the Boudh forest division. A total of 52 pieces of timber arrived in two trucks, comprising 37 logs measuring 12 feet and 15 logs measuring 20 feet.
With the arrival of this consignment, the phased transportation of wood required for chariot construction continues as per schedule.
