Bhubaneswar, Oct. 11 -- A low-pressure area is likely to form over the south-east Bay of Bengal by October 13 as per the previous predictions. This will potentially bring rain during Durga Puja in Odisha. Meanwhile, 13 districts have been placed under a yellow warning for Sunday, thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are expected in these areas.

As per reports, a cyclonic circulation is currently active over the Gulf of Thailand and its adjoining areas, extending up to an altitude of 9.4 kilometres above mean sea level. It is likely to move into the Andaman Sea region today. Under its influence, a low-pressure area may form over the south-east Bay of Bengal by October 13.
