Bhubaneswar, March 22 -- The Meteorological Department on Sunday forecast widespread rainfall activity across more than half of Odisha's districts over the next 24 hours, warning of thundershowers, lightning and gusty winds in several regions.

According to IMD reports, light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers are likely at one or two places in 17 districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh and Ganjam. Similar conditions are expected in Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.
