Bhubaneswar, June 26 -- The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) issued an Orange Warning on Friday for nine districts across Odisha.

The warning comes as several parts of the state are expected to experience thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall and strong winds.

According to the RMC, nine districts have been placed under an Orange Warning, while several others are expected to experience rain and gusty winds.

Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Gajapati are likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall, with wind speeds reaching 40 to 50 kmph.
