Bhubaneswar, March 9 -- The Income Tax Department's raids linked to alleged tax evasion by restaurateur Abhay Nayak continued for a second consecutive day on Monday, with officials carrying out searches at multiple locations across Odisha.

The raids, which began on Sunday, are being conducted in Bhubaneswar, Puri and Cuttack. Officials are investigating allegations that crores of rupees in taxes were evaded through financial irregularities associated with Nayak's restaurant chain.

According to reports, Income Tax teams conducted searches at six locations connected to Nayak's business network. These include his residence in Raghunathpur in Bhubaneswar along with several restaurants operating in the three cities.
