Bhubaneswar, April 16 -- After nearly a decade of slow progress, the much-anticipated railway connectivity projects linking Jeypore with Nabarangpur and Malkangiri in southern Odisha have started to gain momentum. 

Authorities have initiated the long-awaited land compensation payments to villagers affected by these projects, signaling a significant step forward in the development of these vital transport links.

According to a report by swarajyamag, first proposed in the Union Budget for 2016-17, the two railway lines aim to connect Jeypore with Nabarangpur through a 42 km stretch and with Malkangiri via a more extensive 130 km route.
