Bhubaneswar, June 16 -- A professor was arrested by police on Monday over allegedly seeking sexual favours from a student in Bhubaneswar. The accused academic, identified as Ajit Gupta, was taken into custody after a formal complaint was lodged against him.

As per reports, police officials were still reviewing the claims, which involve prolonged harassment, digital manipulation of imagery, and the misuse of a position of trust within an educational context, at the time of reporting.
