Bhubaneswar, April 17 -- Two Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers, who were part of a delegation to Lok Bhavan for a courtesy meeting with Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, were allegedly evicted by staff and taken to Capital Police Station on Thursday. This prompted a backlash and an official probe.

The development came following a written complaint submitted by D Sudhakar Rao, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Odisha, to the Governor's Secretary, detailing the alleged incident involving officers Manish Kumar (2015 batch) and Satya Prakash Mishra (2023 batch).
