Bhubaneswar, Oct. 22 -- Tension prevailed at Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Odisha's Bolangir on Thursday following the death of a pregnant woman as her relatives alleged medical negligence.

The death of the expectant mother led to a commotion on the hospital premises. The irate family later allegedly vandalised the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department.

The woman, a resident of the Kantabanji area, was admitted to the hospital four days before her death. She died on Wednesday night. Her relatives were reportedly seen arguing with the security personnel on Thursday morning before leaving the hospital with her body.
