Bhubaneswar, May 13 -- A woman lost her life while two others sustained injuries after a car rammed into a stationary truck on National Highway-18 in Mayurbhanj district late on Tuesday night.

The accident occurred near Gaddeulia Chhak at around 11:30 pm while the occupants were returning from Bhubaneswar.

The deceased has been identified as Dipti Rekha Singh, daughter-in-law of former Special Development Council (SDC) Vice-Chairperson Kamala Tiria. Kamala Tiria and her son Abhishek Tiria sustained injuries in the crash and were later shifted to Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
