India, July 25 -- Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has been assigned the additional responsibility of the Ministry of Education after President accepted the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan in the wake of the NEET paper leak controversy and the large-scale protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).

The President's office announced Joshi's appointment through an official communique on Saturday, confirming the reshuffle in ministerial responsibilities.

Joshi will continue to serve as the Union Minister for Food and Consumer Affairs while holding the additional portfolio.
