Bhubaneswar, June 19 -- Three days after the murder of Prabhat Behera shocked residents of Anantapur village, anger spilled onto the streets on Friday as villagers gheraoed Pahala Police Station in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, demanding answers on the progress of the investigation.

The protesters questioned police over the delay in revealing the motive behind the murder and sought details about the action taken so far against those allegedly involved in the crime.

A large number of villagers from Anantapur gathered outside the police station, alleging that despite the passage of three days, the circumstances behind Prabhat's murder remain unclear.
