Bhubaneswar, Aug. 7 -- Biju Janata Dal (BJD) held a press conference on Friday over a recent confrontation between the Food Supplies Minister Krushna Patra and local government officials in Dhenkanal district. The issue follows an incident in Gahamkhunti village under Kaimati Panchayat, where the Minister strongly reprimanded the Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) and Block Development Officer (BDO) over alleged irregularities in the housing scheme.

Former BJD MLA Sudhir Samal and former MP Mahesh Sahoo condemned the Minister's conduct, alleging that he used abusive language and publicly humiliated the officials.
