Bhubaneswar, Aug. 14 -- Several personnel from Odisha have been selected for Police Service Medals 2026. The announcement was made today for the Police, Fire Services, Home Guard and Civil Defence, and Correctional Service categories, among others. The awards include Medals for Gallantry, President's Medals for Distinguished Service and Medals for Meritorious Service.

Among the recipients, five Odisha Police personnel will receive Medals for Gallantry, while three personnel will receive President's Medals for Distinguished Service.

A total of 17 Odisha Police personnel have been selected for the honours, along with three from the Odisha Fire Service, one from Home Guard and Civil Defence, and two from Correctional Service.
