Bhubaneswar, May 20 -- A joint team of police and mining officials carried out a raid on an alleged illegal stone quarry in the Jamuna Jharpada area under Delang block of Pipili in Odisha's Puri district late on Tuesday night.

The operation was conducted while stone cutting activities were reportedly underway at the site.

During the surprise crackdown, authorities seized multiple vehicles and machinery allegedly being used for quarrying operations. Officials said further investigation into the incident is in progress.
