Bhubaneswar, Sept. 29 -- Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has sought a detailed report from Odisha's School and Mass Education (S&ME) Department over errors previously found in school textbooks meant for students from Classes 1 to 8 in the State, official sources said on Tuesday.

The PMO has intervened in the matter and written to the state S&ME department seeking comprehensive information about the textbook-related issue. The communication asks the department to explain why the errors occurred and how they came to be incorporated into the textbooks.
