Bhubaneswar, April 18 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation, fiercely criticised the Opposition parties for opposing the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, which sought to enhance women's representation in legislative bodies.
The PM said, the opposition's refusal to support the bill stems from their fear of losing control over dynastic politics. He stated that these parties are afraid that empowering women would threaten their leadership, and therefore, they want to keep women confined within their families, denying them the opportunity to rise to leadership positions.
