Bhubaneswar, March 19 -- The body of a Plus Two first-year student of Kamakhyanagar Women's College was recovered in a mutilated condition from the Kamakhyanagar police station area in Odisha's Dhenkanal. Police initiated a detailed investigation into the suspected murder.

The student, who was residing at her maternal grandfather's house for her studies, was reported missing after she failed to return home on Wednesday after appearing for an examination at her college.

As per reports, she had boarded a bus from her college around noon to return home but did not reach her destination. Concerned over her absence, family members launched a search and continued looking for her throughout the night.
