Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- A youth suffered severe burn injuries after two masked miscreants allegedly poured petrol over him and set him on fire. The incident took place near the Kaleiposh bus stand under Lahunipara Police Station in Odisha's Sundargarh district on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as Kanhu Charan Mahanta. He is reportedly a resident of Ganighasa village under Lahunipada Police Station limits.

According to reports, Mahanta was on his way to the bus stand when the two masked miscreants followed him After a short while, they grabbed him suddenly, poured petrol over him, and set him on fire.
