Bhubaneswar, Aug. 14 -- A patient died after allegedly jumping from the fourth floor of a private hospital in Odisha's Rourkela city on Thursday night.

The patient was undergoing treatment at the hospital following a bike accident.

The reason behind the patient taking the extreme step remained unestablished at the time of reporting.

As per reports, police reached the hospital after getting the information and had started an investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, the incident raised serious questions about the security arrangements at the hospital following the death of the patient inside its premises.
