Over 82% of Odisha government schools have internet access: Centre
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6 -- The Centre informed the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that the basic infrastructure in Odisha's government schools witnessed significant improvement, with more than 82 per cent now having internet connectivity. The update was shared by Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary in a written reply to Rajya Sabha MP Sulata Deo.
According to the Minister, there are 46,801 government schools in Odisha, of which 38,748 have internet access. The state also has 46,689 schools with toilet facilities, 46,798 with access to drinking water, 43,452 enclosed by boundary walls and 46,667 that have been electrified.
