Bhubaneswar, July 4 -- Tension prevailed at Rajendra University in Odisha's Bolangir district after 82 outsourced employees were reportedly terminated without prior notice, prompting a protest on the University campus on Saturday.

Aggrieved over the sudden decision, the employees gathered outside the office of the Vice Chancellor and staged a gherao, demanding immediate intervention. The protest disrupted normal activities in and around the administrative block as employees raised slogans and sought a reversal of the termination order.
