Bhubaneswar, July 10 -- The administration has launched a dog-catching drive in Mahanala Patapur under Sanakhemundi block of Odisha's Ganjam district, days after repeated stray dog attacks in the area left several people, including children, injured.

After, OTV aired reports of frequent stray dog attacks, a team from the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) reached the village on Friday and began capturing stray dogs.

According to officials, the dogs being caught during the drive will be shifted to another location. The operation was launched following repeated complaints from residents and growing concern over the increasing number of stray dog attacks.
