Bhubaneswar, Aug. 28 -- Orissa High Court on Thursday expressed displeasure over the formation of the Traffic Management Committee for Cuttack and directed Cuttack District Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde to appear before it in person.

The court reportedly directed the Collector to remain personally present at 10.30 am next Saturday and explain why its earlier direction regarding the composition of the committee was not implemented.

The matter came up during the hearing of a public interest litigation concerning various problems in Cuttack city. The court had earlier directed that an officer of the rank of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) be included in the Traffic Management Committee.
